How to build core (body) strength?

Well, at the moment I can’t even do a handstand or climb a tree, but since seeing aerial silk dancing I thought ‘woah, I’d love to do that’. Or just learn to climb a tree or handstand.
Any good ways of increasing strength, I have no access to pilates lessons and I don’t want to spend a small fortune.

    in ur house you can do:

    arms- pushups (try to do 35)
    legs- frog jumps (20) where u kinda sit down but not so ur butt is touching and then jump up as high as you can
    stomach- hollow body holds (30 sec.) lay down on ur back and lift only ur feet and head slightly above the ground.
