The best and only inflatable bed that i have been able to get a good nights sleep on. The bed is still inflated when you wake up in the morning, which hasn’t been the case with other beds, due to the clever valve system. The seperately inflatable chambers also work brilliantly as you can inflate your side independantly to the other and its not affected if one person gets out of bed. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Great that you don’t hit the ground every time your husband gets up in the night!!! Didn’t have to reinflate this bed once in the three nights we spent camping. Coleman Waterfall Five Man Tent Reviews

I already have a Colmman Sahra which is much bigger than the Waterfall but at 35Kg is to heavy for my KTM motorcycle. The Waterfall is only 14Kg and is nearly as big and fits on the rear of the KTM when touring. Build qualitity is as aspected by Colman, very high with some very nice touches. The main reason for purchasing this tent is that its just high enough to stand-up in the sleeping area and the dome front area is excellent for seating, storage and I use it as an indoor covered area when the whether is bad. In the past I carried a pop-up gazebo but now cannot carry on a motorcycle so this design allow me to do both within one tent. The only downside is the 40 wire peg’s which are useless in hard ground, I purchased 20 ‘T’ shaped alloy 8″ peg’s which are good for hard ground and sandy conditions, I have never used all the peg’s provided so use your initative at the time and location when pitching.

If you want to camp for a couple of months around europe in a car, van, pick-up truck the Colman sahra & gazebo is the way, BUT if travelling light & fast the colman Waterfall is the way to go; just pitch the tent near a tree for shade in the heat of Southern Europe at the height of summer.

I bought this tent for myself and my wife as a “camping from the car” tent, as opposed to the hiking and camping that i would do with the guys. It is large, spacious and on our trial in the garden before we set of had it up and down again within 30 mins. We took it around Ireland last week and have been more than happy with it. No major faults or problems found after a week of up and down.

Coleman Bedrock Two Man Tent Reviews

I needed a tent that was both lightweight and had a reasonably small pack size, as i was going to be doing the Land’s End – John O Groats cycle (no support & carrying all equipment). I looked long and hard, and for tents in this price range, one of such weight and pack size, was very hard to come by!

Although i was alone, the reason i wanted a two man tent was because i had two large panniers. However, there probably would have been enough room for another person with my panniers as well.

I was putting the tent up every evening and taking it down again the following morning for a fortnight, and although that in itself was tedious towards the end, it was very easy; from the point of actually emptying the tent (so it was ready to take down) to the point of it actually being packed away in its little bag, took about 15mins by the end of the fortnight, (hardest part of course squeezing it into the bag). Some of the tent pegs got seriously bent due to the huge range in soil density throughout the trip, but nothing 20mins couldnt sort out in my spare time.

As for keeping me dry, i guess it wasnt really a fair test, as i travelled the first half of this September, which just so happened to be dry every day. Although waking up high in the Scottish Highlands, there was a considerable amount of dew, to which i remained dry, and A LOT of wind; but the tent stood strong, and i got a good nights sleep.

So, for the verdict…

If you’re looking for a cheap, small pack size, lightweight tent, this is perfect. (I am planning on using it again next year, when i cycle it all over again). I do understand i never had seriously bad weather, but, if you set the tent up properly, i see no physical way in which the inhabitant could get wet!

This is a very elegant and clever tent but unfortunately it fails on the basic requirement – to keep you dry! Love the light weight, easy pitch design and the double side doors but it leaks !! The vent panel below the hoop drips constantly in heavy rain and both occupants get wet. Also flysheet rests on inner tent at foot level so that doesn’t work either !!! a shame ‘cos otherwise a nice piece of kit.

Coleman Event Shelter Reviews

I bought this to use on decking in case of a shower during a party, it rained heavily all day! Despite not claiming to be waterproof, it worked very well to keep the water out, with 95% of the water running down the legs. You can fit a lot of people under it and it really saved the day. Then used it again camping as a large porch, again it worked very well and suffered a lot of rain.

Only downside is it says not to keep it up for more than a few days at a time, so it’s not for a permanent install, which dashed my plans to use it as a sun shade all summer!

Looks great. Friend was so impressed he bought one for his party.

We bought one of these this summer (2008) and the metal poles broke on its second outing! Luckily we got a free replacement from the retailer (not amazon). We did have one side up which might have caught the wind. I’m sure it would be fine in a sheltered spot or on a calm day. The material is not rated as waterproof but we found water ran off it just fine and kept us dry. I would conditionally recommend this product.

There are many things about this tent which are great :

1. Good quality sewn-in ground sheets

2. Loving the window thing that rolles them up automatically – would be great if they did longer ones for the door.

3. Bedroom pods are spacious and I didn’t have to worry too much about the kids touching the sides.

4. Very easy to put up and to take down myself – have to say it was easier to put up and would have been easier for 2 to take down.

5. Liked the fact you can keep the bedrooms attached after putting it up the first time round so that will make it easier and quicker for the next time

6. Velcro down the side of the zips to keep it closed.

Down sides – which I have to say are pretty major in my view

1. This tent does not zip fully around the front door only down the sides – they say this is for increased ventilation however if you get even the slightest wind then the front door goes into the tent and thus if it is raining you have a real problem. I emailed Coleman about this and was informed there were velcro fastenings along the bottom which there are not. You can peg the door down to try to stop it from blowing back into the tent but this is very tricky to do from the inside before you go to bed and by the time you have done it you would probably be fairly wet!

2. The other thing is that on some websites (including Coleman’s) it states there are two doors one on the front and one on the side – this is only true of the delux 6 and 8 model – NOT the 4 berth.

I will be trying to return this item it’s just a pity that inorder to find out what is wrong with it you have to use it first! Here’s hoping.
