Was trying to find a replacement for the nicely padded mat I use for yoga lessons which invovles lots of kneeling and lying on the floor. (Old one had been nicked in the recent home burglary!!)

This is really comfy for yoga & floor exercises in aerobics.

York Exercise Mat

This mat is O.K for just floor excercises, where there is no carpet at all, as in the title “better than nothing”, I bought two one for myself, and one for my wife, but ended up stapeling them together worked great then. The picture does not show, that they are only made of a very thin, soft foam about 1/2″ thick.

This is the best exercise mat I have owed so far.

I have found it to be very comfy due to the thickness of the padding.

Has two way fold in it so it folds into three for easy storage, 2 useful handles on the sides for picking it up and unexpectedly came with a poster giving some exercise suggestions.

This mat helps to reduce the pressure on your back so it makes working out very comfortable! It is also great because its size caters for tall people-just like me. It can also be used outdoors because it is very comfortable to relax on too!!

This item arrived in good time. It’s a perfect thickness for doing exercises, because I’ve heard that some mats can be too thin (more designed for yoga… which I haven’t tried…yet).

The way it rolls up and the elastic straps that secure it is really handy and good for storing away nicely.

This is a nicely made mat but we found it quite inappropriate for the purpose for which it is recommended, namely Yoga. The topside is rather slippery underfoot and the underside even more so on a wooden or lino floor. The result is quite dangerous and we have had to abandon it and buy something else. It might just be allright on carpet. However I would recommend buying something with a more rubbery texture that adheres better to the surface on which you are working. This is not a good bet.

Had trouble finding an Exercise Mat that did not hurt my back. Some of them are so thin and uncomfortable.

Went for this one because of the thickness and price…really pleased when it arrived and is spongy.

I like the fact that you do not have to roll it up after each use.I keep it under the settee in the lounge and it is so quick and easy to pull out and use.

i ordered this mat on tuesday and it arrived the next day..cannot fault delivery service

i bought the mat for ab crunches,push ups, aerobics etc as having a wooden floor, it can get pretty uncomfortable! it is thick enough, it doesn’t slide along the floor and is easy to put under the bed when not in use..

i only give it 4 star as it could do with being a bit longer in length, i’m only 5″2, and when lying down,the mat ends at the knee!

all in all though,it is a good product.

We bought these for under the new gym equipment that we have just had delivered. The garage floor was hard and a little uneven, we put down some fibreboard sheets first to level off, but these provide a nice shock absorbant base and are easier underfoot and level the equipment to prevent rocking in use.

Fit together very well and look very neat and tidy, I just hope they can endure long term heavy duty wear with little adverse affect.

First impressions very good and would recommend.

We’re actually using this stuff for several purposes. We have it under a treadmill to protect the carpet. It was so good, we bought another pack to put under the washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. It helps to prevent vibrations up to our sons bedroom above. Now we’re buying some more to put in the backyard to create a soft play area.

This is a yoga mat (also good for pilates floor exercises), it isn’t supposed to be a comfy place to lie whilst on the floor, it’s just for a little extra support. For people who find it curls back on itself… just turn it over (then it won’t curl up again!) However after the first use I found there was no curling at all! The stickiness does help prevent slipping but you don’t really notice it unless you’re rolling around on the mat! Nice colour choices as well!

I bought this yoga mat because of the masses of good reviews it has on here and the fact that it is ‘slip resistant’. Unfortunately it is almost useless to me as I do ashtanga yoga which is very physical and I find that with just the slightest hint of perspiration on my hands or feet I begin to slip all over the place. When you purchase the mat it does say this on the label ‘caution: may become slippery when wet’. So if you do gentle yoga this will be absolutely fine, but if you do more active forms of yoga involving sequences and sun salutations then give this one a miss or you could end up injuring yourself.

I wanted a slightly thicker mat as I practice in a hall with hard wooden floors! This 6mm mat provides that little bit more cushioning while still giving stability. When I go back to my old mat I notice the difference! It also provides good grip, ideal for keeping hands and feet firmly in position.

I really like this mat and others in my class have commented on it too. There are thicker mats out there but not at this price.

Great mat – excellent grip and extra cushioning makes all the differnce. Irrelevant to its function, however, it is a gorgeous mix of different shades of blue. Nothng bad to say about it – it does exactly what it says, serves its purpose and is remarkably durable. If for some reason my current one went awol, I would buy it again.
