I bought this treadmill with a few reservations. I had expected one of those dodgy treadmills you get in “token” hotel gyms – belt slips all of the time, stops after 5 mins etc etc. However I have been pleasantly surprised. After some work getting the belt tension correct the treadmill has performed very well. The machine does the basics well – I’ve not got it anywhere near its top speed but at 11km/hr it seems fine. It seems harder than running on the road or on gym treadmills I have used recently – I suspect I need to get my level out to check I’m not running on an incline. The incline function on the treadmill is achieved by dropping or raising a couple of supports underneath the machine. All in all a good value product for the money.

Most impressed with the seller, Activity-Plus. They contacted me both by ‘phone and email to let me know the progress of my order. Treadmill arrived by Fed-ex smack bang in the middle of the ‘delivery window’. Guy from Fed-ex was very helpful and helped me put the box in the downstairs room I asked him to. Treadmill was very well packed. Assembly is really a two person job as some of the wired connections were a bit fiddly but I managed on my own in an hour. Treadmill is very robust and well constructed. Folds up really easily. I would have given it 5 stars but the instruction booklet is very poor. Tells you the machine has 9 prestored programmes and 3 user created programmes but fails to tell you what they do or anything. Overall very pleased with the treadmill and hope to get a lot of use out of it. See you all in London for the marathon next april !!!

I bought this product feb 2010, i picked it because i needed a treadmill that would take my weight, with the intension of losing alot by waking on it at every chance when i couldn’t get outside to walk. It was easy to put together and to use and store but i had only walked on it 8 miles when the belt started to get hot the plastic board beneath the belt started to bend then the wooden board beneath that broke. I only managed to walk on it at 1 mile at a time over a 2 week period as i was not used to treadmill walking so didn’t want to over do it. I have since sent it back on the 05/03/2010, it is now the 12/03/2010 and i have heard nothing from the firm in reply. This is obviously not fit for task.

REEBOK i-Run Treadmill Reviews

The Reebok I-run is perfect for home fitness. I brought it because it was reasonably priced (brought it at the time for £333 new, the prices keep changing so I suggest waiting or looking around) and I wanted to start running – eventually getting up to long distance and “fun-run” levels – without looking like an unfit, gasping buffoon by starting off running outside.

As someone said previously, the top speed is highly amicable but not perfect if your a super-sprinter, but for joggers and running training it’s highly ideal. It folds away both horizontally and vertically, at first I found it to be quite heavy lifting when storing it vertically but compared to others it’s exceptionally light, and your arms get used to it after a week or so. Comes with an “oiling kit” and a nice little guide, there are 6 programs but I normally just use free-run, adjusting the speed when needed. The calorie count is pretty accurate as is the mile count, the screen is bright and easy to understand and the whole treadmill has a stylish design that’s suits a home, instead of the bulky commercial gym look.

However, as everything has it’s downsides, the heart rate monitor can be out sometimes (it’s averagely in sync, but doesn’t recognise change quick enough) compared to a sepate HRM. The measurements can’t be changed, such as KM instead of Miles, and with a white finish it gets dusty and dirty quick, so if you’re a bit of a neat freak like me it needs a wipe and a dust at least once a week. the wheels don’t spin so well so they wear down on one side and leave black marks on carpet, but this can easily be prevented if you loosen them before use.

Other than that, I definately reccomend this if your looking for a treadmill, it’s sturdy (even at the higher speeds) and we’ve been using it collectively at least twice a day for the last 2 years and not a problem yet.

I brought this for my girlfriend and using it regularly myself find it a great buy. Solidly built unlike some other treadmills, and as an added bonus it folds away enabling it to be wheeled around with ease and stored under a bed (does need a fair bit of clearance mind) or pushed to the side of the room.

The machine does take up a lot of room when opened out though.

It withstands a fair bit of daily pounding although if you’re using it for serious miles it probably isn’t strong enough.

It has a safety cord and a multitude of programmes: set times, calories, fitness levels etc.

The top speed is respectable though again serious/faster runners may find it slightly lacking.

One downside to the machine for me was the lack of an incline function though I knew this when ordering.

Also remember to place a mat or something underneath as it can mark wooden flooring and leave indentations on carpet.

Superb treadmill which appears to be very well built and assembled in about 30mins. Good variation of programs and an excellent top speed with the ability of a good incline. The only downside is the hand held pulse seems to be way out and I bought the chest strap and that doesn’t seem to be giving any sort of decent reading either but that could well be “user error!”

Would recommend this product to anybody who is serious about using it on a regular basis, if it’s going to be occasional use only then you could probably get away with a less expensive model.

An excellent quality machine, no real difference to the type in my local gym and they take a real pounding day after day! The pulse rate meter seems to struggle to give a fast reading but is no different to others I’ve used. The incline feature is smooth in operation and certainly enhances your workout by increasing the angle of the treadmill and so, your pulse rate. A bit tricky to assemble initially but once you’ve screwed and bolted it together the whole thing folds together for storage with minimal effort. Overall, a great value way to get fit.

This product arrived within a week of me placing the order – so I was very impressed!! I received a phone text message 2 days before it arrived to inform me of the day and time of delivery which I found really helpful. I live upstairs and so the kind delivery men took it upstairs for me!! They weren’t supposed to, but at 87kg I was very grateful they agreed!! The assembly of the treadmill took roughly 2 hours – but, then again, I am no mechanic, so I thought that was pretty good really and the instructions were easy to follow. There is only one snag to this machine – the wires from the control panel – there isn’t enough room to put them into the allocated space so I am still running with wires all hanging out until I can get someone to help me put the wires in this tiny space they allow – but – other than that – I am very pleased with my treadmill – I use it every day – and I feel fitter already!!! It beats running out in the cold and I can use it whenever I like!!

It is a sturdy machine with a hydraulic system to fold it and unfold it which I believe denotes the sign of a good make of machine. Well worth the money and good value.
