I used this for several festivals over the summer and it’s never let me down. You can hook it anyway you like to your tent and it’s never broke or been broken into. This gives a piece of mind as you’re out partying drunk at a tent miles away. We put all our booze, bog rolls and stuff like that in the net. The good thing about this is that if you pack enough heavy items into it, it’s extremely difficult to cut off and 2 to carry away somewhere else without looking like an idiot by knocking someone’s tent down!

Pacsafe WalletSafe 100 Secure Travel Wallet Reviews

The Walletsafe 100 is a tough fabric wallet about 9cm by 12cm when closed, with a dark grey security chain about 35cm long that attaches to a belt loop to ensure that you and your hard-earned cash aren’t separated. Inside it has a full-length, zipped compartment for notes, six slots for cards and one clear slot for identification, whilst another zipped compartment on the outside can be used for holding change. There’s also a fabric loop on the inside to which you can attach a key.

The wallet itself feels very well made and is held closed by a long Velcro strip so on the whole feels very secure. It’s also pretty smart, the version I got being almost totally black with only a small Pacsafe logo in the corner. It’s perhaps not the thinnest wallet out there, but when you consider just how many compartments it has and how much it can hold, it’s actually not that `fat’, even when you’ve filled it up with cash, cards and change.

On the downside, the chain itself only comes with a ‘push-type’ clip which doesn’t lock so it probably wouldn’t be that difficult for a nefarious type to undo it from your belt loop without you noticing. The chain also tends to advertise the fact that you have something valuable at the end so in a way it seems like something of a mixed blessing. However, it can always be stored in one of the internal compartments or removed altogether so you don’t have to use it if you think it’ll make you look like an easy target (or a prison guard.)

When you consider just how much of an awesome responsibility a wallet has, it seems ludicrous that many of us (and I include myself here) are happy to entrust our lives to some of the cheapest, most fragile bits of tat we can find. I can’t guarantee 100% that the Walletsafe 100 will save you from the poor house but my advice would be to get one, supplement the push clip with a locking one and it should make you a lot less attractive to pickpockets.

This is the best wallet I’ve ever owned… no more having to keep a hand on the pocket the wallet is in when in a crowded place as you know it’s safely attached to you. Also the velcro makes sure that the wallet stays very safely shut unless you want it opened plus its almost impossible for credit cards to fall out unlike most other wallets. Top marks as far as I’m concerned… especially for the price.

I took one of these to Australia in the summer. It will hold your passport, tickets and money, but not much more. There is a bigger sized version which I wish I’d bought instead.

I never felt the need to padlock the thing around my waist, I’m sure you’d be safer just handing it over rather than forcing the thugs to cut the thing loose.
