I purchased these gloves for my son’s birthday present. He has now received them and is really pleased with the quality. Hopefully they will last a long time. He is especially pleased with the wrist support which has velcro fastening.

The service I received from Turner Sports was excellent. I originally ordered a Large pair, but had to return them as my son’s hands are very big!! Turner Sports sent a pair of Extra Large, which did not arrive – thanks to our wonderful Post Office!! – but Turner kept in touch with me by email, telling me when the gloves had been sent. When they heard the gloves had not arrived, they sent another pair.

The communication and customer service was great and I would definitely recommend Turner Sports and this product.

When I opened the packaging, I was slightly disappointed with the gloves as they looked extremely flimsy and would not suit my needs. There was no extra protection for my fingers and I felt that there wasn’t sufficient leather protection on the palm. However, I soon changed my mind once I started using them. These gloves gave me exceptional grip when using the bicep curl bar and subsequently improved my performance. I purchased a “Large” and found it perfect for my hands. The gloves were tight but still gave enough room for flexibility. I would recommend that any man buy nothing smaller than a large as my fingers are not particularly chunky – the smaller sizes are clearly designed for the female hand.

Being an avid weight-lifter, I go through pairs of gloves fairly frequently but I get the impression this pair will last longer. My previous pairs had a greater protection for the palm and fingers but the stitching split almost immediately and the protection tore out after limited usage. Most gloves wear first on the web of the hand near the thumb but this pair has two layers of leather for extra protection. I would recommend this for all types of weight-lifter, including advanced users such as myself.

Brought this bench, took about 40 mins to put together at a slow pace. Very easy to put together. For the price it is fantastic, with the ability to go from flat to incline/vertical easily and having a max of 200KG.

Its light to move out of the cage at will but still very sturdy. The bolt that holds the seat in place is a little stiff, but nothing a little oil couldnt fix.

The seat is very slightly off centre, but its more a cosmetic issue rather than practical, and you really have to be fussy to notice it or let it bother you.

Its not the widest of benches nor the thinnest, for me at 11.5 stone 5ft 8, its perfect and a fantastic bargain/buy in such credit crunch enviroments.

As others have already said…. this is an excellent bench.

I was looking for a heavy duty flat bench when I spotted this offering from York.

It’s easy to put together and feels very solid when lifting heavy.

Adjustment is easy and fast and the bench feels very solid during use.

The thick padding is comfortable and the vinyl covering should last a long time.

It’s a surprisingly compact bench and it can be tucked in a corner on it’s end when not in use.

In short… this bench is a bargain.
